There is a bug in Magento 1.3 (maybe in 1.4 too). To reproduce: (1) Set the website in admin to allow decimal quantities (In admin choose Catalog->Manage Products->Choose a Product->Inventory->Qty Uses Decimals=Yes. (2) In frontend, have a customer make a decimal quantity order of that product (eg buy 2.5 of them), and send in an order. So far, so good. (3) Back in admin, go to Sales->Orders->Select the recently submitted order. On the order, select the 'Edit' orange button. It will warn that the order will be deleted and be replaced with a new one. (4) So far so good, see the 2.5 decimal quantity in our 'Qty' textbox. But now just press the 'Update Items and Qtys' button, and the 2.5 will change to a 2. Try it again with any decimal number, the decimals just get rounded downwards (ie a math floor function). It looks like the flaw is in JavaScript, most likely somewhere called from itemsUpdate() in the file /js/mage/adminhtml/sales.js or so. What is needed is just the fix to wherever the error is so that can properly edit decimal quantities. |
