I have put together a site where users can donate to a project simply by purchasing a virtual product (and therefore making a donation). There are several different products that a user can purchase (for example one product is a $20 donation, one for $100 donation, etc.) The site will host multiple projects with each project organized as a separate Magento store. For each project the different products ($20 donation, $100 donation) are grouped into one category that shares the same name as the project. A website (still a work in progress) of an example 'project' can be viewed at: http://sandgrains.matchboxmedia.org/index.php I would like a simple module developed that adds a page to the front-end displaying details of who has donated (ie: made a purchase). As there will be multiple projects the code should look up which store front is being viewed and return results for that project. The functionality i am looking to match is similar to the following (click on any project to see an example of a project page as these two websites have implemented them): http://www.kickstarter.com/ http://indiegogo.com/ I want to show: * The total amount donated in that project. * The total number of customers that have donated. Additionally it should display the title for each product and under the heading of that product should show: * The name of customers that have purchased that product, dependant on a product's custom option radio button yes/no being set to yes, so as to allow for anonymous donations. * The amount paid for the product next to the customers name. * The number of customers the have brought that product. * The total price made up of all the people that have brought that product. Lastly it should also be possible to display the first two asterisk'd items (total amount donated amd total customers) in a block on the main page. As stated above, each project is categorized by store-front/category. Therefore you can grab the data either by querying the category, or by querying for all products that are active in a certain store-front, whichever is easiest. Data should be pulled fromthe Magento database through interfacing with Magentos model system and not via exclusively via the use of SQL. Design is not important. Just require the data to be there. I will add CSS styling afterwards. I have a git repository setup from which you can pull the Magento shop from, for development locally. Once delivered i would be happy to release the code as open source for the benefit of the community. However i imagine this would add additional development time so I will either package it and add it to Magento Connect myself, or you are welcome to add it as a free extension in your own name under your own time. As a non-profit we do not have much money but perhaps this would be a good candidate for someone if they have some free time over Xmas/New Year. -- The site is based on Magento 1.4.1.1 (soon to be 1.4.2) and PHP 5.3. |
