I need an import tool in which I can import products along with the categories NAMES (not IDs). The tool must create the category or subcategory if does not exist or update if does exist. Each product will need to be placed in 3 or 4 subcategories and categories. The format could be similar to: Category/SubCat1/SubCat2/SubCat3. The catalog has 3 or 3 level categories/subcategories - so this must be taken into consideration. I have tried the following extension but it did not update the category part. http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/sunit99/extension/3742/productimport You can start with this as it is an opensource, or you can create your own or maybe you have a ready-made one that you could sell me for lesser price. I will provide you with sample CSVs. Originally we used Virtuemart/Joomla for our ecommerce but migrating to Magento right now, and the import tool is critical for this website. |
