In Magneto right now the currency for both the cost and the selling price are the same. When I purchase parts in one currency to sell in a different currency there is also an exchange rate that I must be concerned with. What I would like to see happen is to have the purchase amount have its own currency tab. Once selected, magneto would be able to adjust all costs with this currency selected with a common multiplier. I would want to ensure though that Magneto would never allow the cost to go below the purchased cost or we would need to have a set minimum. My concern is that as the exchange rates fluctuate and more items are added to our store it will be too time consuming to be constantly adjusting the cost. If these cost are not adjusted I potentially could be selling my parts for less than I purchased them. Also it would be nice to have a common multiplier for each supplier so that if a supplier increases/decreased their cost across the board we could change all costs for that supplier with one entry. Once the cost is being controlled I would need to be able to control the selling price either with a fixed mark up or percentage mark up. Attached is a excel copy of the equation that I think may work. I need someone to build this equation into a Magento extension. |
